Overview

Hip Hop Dance is a style of movement characterized by bounces and rocks, executed to Hip Hop music. Hip-Hop dancing is an energetic, popular dance style that involves whole body movement and is about self-expression. Hip Hop comes in many styles and forms and is about strength, endurance, and movement quality

Our dance instructors are warm and friendly and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with each individual or parent to craft a dance class that fits the student’s unique needs and favorite type of music. Whether you're a dancing professional, a seven-year-old taking their first lesson, or a fifty-year-old returning to the dance floor after many years, our instructors will share their love for hip hop and help you set goals to achieve your dance aspirations.

HOW QUALIFIED ARE WESTMINSTER ARTS ACADEMY DANCE INSTRUCTORS?

We carefully select instructors that are professionals in the dance industry and/or have a college degree in dance. All instructors work great with all ages and genuinely love teaching just as much as they love dance. WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED?

Comfortable clothing to move in and tennis shoes. A spunky spirit is a must!

ARE THERE DANCE RECITALS?

Absolutely! Every Summer and Winter, students have the opportunity to perform in a real theater and be treated like a professional dancer! Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge students a fee to perform. All family and friends are welcome to attend. In addition to the on-stage recitals, we also provide performances around the community and in local senior homes. See our performance page for more information.
